Meet Brey Foster

Hello, Maysville!

I’m Brey Foster, a lifelong resident born and raised in our beautiful historic river town. From the scenic rolling hills of Mason County to the familiar tight-knit streets we all cherish, Maysville is more than my hometown—it’s my heart, my heritage, and the legacy I’m determined to protect and build upon for every family here.

A proud Mason County High School graduate, I come from a hardworking, close-knit family deeply tied to this community. I’m the granddaughter of Tugboat Captain Wallace Edward Martin, who spent his life serving on our rivers until his passing in February 2025. Growing up surrounded by people who value honesty, neighborliness, and rolling up our sleeves to get things done, those core values have shaped who I am and how I approach every challenge.

I believe our community’s true strength lies in listening to one another and always putting people first. That conviction drove me to coordinate with “We are Mason County” in August 2025, when I launched a Change.org petition demanding transparency and genuine public input on major developments—like the proposed data centers—that threaten our environment, resources, and irreplaceable small-town charm. We deserve a real voice in the decisions that will define our future.

My dedication to service continued with my appointment by the Maysville City Commission in October 2025 to the Maysville Commission on Human Rights. There, I work daily to foster unity, advance equal opportunity, and ensure protections against discrimination so every resident feels valued and supported.

Currently, I serve with Maysville Initiatives, our vital local nonprofit founded in 1997. We provide essential help to low- and middle-income families across Mason, Bracken, Fleming, Lewis, and Robertson counties in Kentucky, plus neighboring areas in Ohio.

From housing assistance for the homeless and disabled, to joyful summer camps like Camp Discovery for our children ages 5–12, to critical support for elderly and disabled neighbors, I’ve witnessed the real struggles hardworking folks face—and the difference thoughtful action can make.

Now, I’m ready to serve you directly. I officially filed my candidacy on November 5, 2025, for Maysville City Commission in the November 3, 2026 election. I’m running to deliver fresh, transparent leadership that prioritizes:

  • Safeguarding our unique identity and environment from unchecked growth

  • Guaranteeing meaningful community input and accountability in all decisions

  • Championing affordable housing, reliable local services, and real opportunities for families and youth

  • Strengthening unity so every voice matters and no one is left behind

Maysville is full of potential—our rich history, resilient people, and enduring spirit. Together, we can preserve what makes us special while forging a brighter, more inclusive future for generations to come.

I humbly ask for your support, your ideas, and your vote this November. Let’s move Maysville forward—together.

Thank you, and God bless our community!
