MEET BREY FOSTER
New Leadership Delivering Results for Our Community
Brey Foster is a dedicated lifelong resident of Maysville, Kentucky, where she was born and raised. Growing up in this historic river town, Brey developed a profound appreciation for its rich heritage, small-town charm, tight-knit community values, and the scenic rolling hills of Mason County. She views Maysville not just as a hometown, but as a cherished legacy worth preserving and building upon for future generations.
A Mason County High School graduate and passionate community advocate, Brey has actively worked to protect and enhance Maysville's character. In August 2025, she launched a public petition on Change.org titled "Say No to Data Centers in Maysville KY," in coordination with the organizers of 'We are Mason County' calling for transparency, public input, and thoughtful planning in development decisions to safeguard the environment, resources, and unique identity of the community.
Her commitment to service led to her appointment by the Maysville City Commission on October 9, 2025, to the Maysville Commission on Human Rights, where she helps promote unity, understanding, equal opportunity, and protections against discrimination.
Brey currently works with Maysville Initiatives, a local nonprofit organization established in 1997 that focuses on supporting low- and middle-income residents across Mason County and surrounding areas (including Mason, Bracken, Fleming, Lewis, and Robertson Counties in Kentucky, as well as Brown and Adams Counties in Ohio). The organization secures funding for innovative programs such as housing assistance for homeless and disabled individuals, summer day camps like Camp Discovery for children ages 5–12, and resident support services for elderly and disabled community members.
Brey comes from a close-knit, working-class Maysville family. She is the granddaughter of Tugboat Captain, Wallace Edward Martin who passed away in February 2025, her family history is deeply rooted in the community.
As of recent, Brey announced her intent to run for Maysville City Commission and officially filed her candidacy forms on November 5, 2025.
